Is Quentin Tarantino Armed & Ready To Make ‘Kill Bill 3,’ Possibly 4?

The Movie God   |  @   |

Ever since fan-favorite director Quentin Tarantino made Kill Bill, there’s been whispers every once in a great while that there could be more to the Bride’s (Uma Thurman) story. The obvious remaining story would follow Vernita Green’s (Vivica A. Fox) daughter, who Beatrix told to come find her when she grows up, and that is one of the two that have been rumored.

While on a talk show in Italy, Tarantino was asked about any possible sequels to Inglourious Basterds or Pulp Fiction that we might see. He answered that Basterds has a prequel story that could happen eventually, and that Pulp Fiction isn’t going to happen. Tarantino then turned the tables to the woman interviewing him and told her she forgot to ask whether he would do a Kill Bill 3, so she did, and he answered “Yes,” as the crowd went nutty. No one knows how serious he is about it, or when it could happen, but it looks like the story is there. After his promise of a one year delivery of Basterds actually happened, we have about a 50/50 shot of this going down.

Back in 2007 word made the rounds that Tarantino’s idea included a Kill Bill Vol. 3 and even a Kill Bill Vol. 4. The third would supposedly tell the story of two of the Crazy 88 gang who survived the massacre at the House of Blue Leaves and set out for revenge of their own. Of course, this leaves the fourth, which was rumored to tell the story of both Vernita AND Beatrix’s daughters all grown up and after each other.’

Kill Bill is my favorite of all of Tarantino’s work, so I would totally be excited to see more; I’m just not 100% sure how it would work well considering most everyone is dead. The storyline with the two daughters could be pretty awesome, but a couple of wounded Crazy 88s who were never that much of a threat to begin with would be difficult to present as compelling. In the end, it’s Quentin Tarantino, and we’ll watch what he sees fit to offer us.

Would you want to see more in the story of the Bride?

  1. I personally never saw the first outing(s). I’ll have to eventually.

  3. It would be cool. We don’t know if other members of Crazy 88 had children or not. That mystery can be used to create some characters thirsty for revenge. :)

Tarantino can even pull some characters out of his a$$ and we won’t complain!
