The Super Bowl typically sees some of the best ads of the year during its telecast, and during this Sunday’s game, we’re likely to see some really great material. TV spots for Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean and Paramount’s Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger promise to show new footage from the films, while Volkswagen is winning over the hearts of Star Wars fans everywhere with their “The Force” commercial.
If you haven’t seen the adorable Star Wars-themed Volkswagen commercial yet, check it out here below. Believe me, most of you will relate (to the kid, not the car).
“The Force”
The :30 humorous and emotional spot for the all-new 2012 Passat brings Star Warsâ„¢ to one of TV’s most talked about events. Accompanied by John Williams’ iconic song “The Imperial March,” the spot features a child dressed-up as Darth Vader, who uses the Force when he discovers the all-new 2012 Passat in the driveway.
According to Volkswagen, “The Force” commercial is scheduled to air during the game’s 2nd and 4th quarters, as will a second VW ad called “Black Beetle.”

In a country where overtly sexual themes are used to sell everything from sandwiches to insurance, this is a very welcomed sight. Good job!

Yep…This is the best commercial ever.
And seeing how I dislike the teams playing at the Super Bowl this year (well, no, I just loathe Steelers, sorry Pitt fans) I’ll stick through it for the commercials…and rooting passionately against the Steelers.
But seriously, I adore this ad!!! Can’t wait to see it on tv- along with the Captain America footage!

BRILLIANT!!!! The super bowl idiots cut it down and ruined it. The WHOLE commercial has to be seen. The childs body language, his hands, his head. The mothers expression as she slides the sandwich. If you have children it is even funnier. HEAVEN ON EATH!!!
