Sony Pictures has released plenty of clips and trailers from Carrie, their upcoming remake of 1976 film based on Stephen King’s classic horror novel.
Now, they just released a new clip from the film, called “Get In Your Closet.” You can watch it here below.
Carrie, starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore, hits theaters on October 18, 2013.
I loved the original movie, as well as the novel, and I think it’s still a great story that holds up over time. What I don’t understand is why Sony is releasing so much footage from this remake that highlight all the very cool moments, including this scene with the closet. Is it to show us long-time fans that we’ll be getting a lot of familiar content? Either way, I’m looking very forward to checking out this movie later this month.
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
