| Happy Birthday Stephen King! Encore Celebrates With September Marathon!
Stephen King‘s birthday is September 21st, but it’s the fans who will receive gifts! Encore TV will show one Stephen King movie a night (sometimes one part a night) through September 30th, and on Mr. King’s actual birthday there will be an all-day marathon starting at 8AM. Check out the full schedule here below. It is not every Stephen King movie and there are some notable ones missing, but if every single one was my favorite, I would not leave the house in September at all! You do get to enjoy The Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the worst game show ever, and Secret Window with Johnny Depp as an author accused of plagiarism and then terrorized for it by an excellent John Turturro. Salem’s Lot scared the crap out of me as a kid. Why was I watching Salem’s Lot as a kid? Oh yeah — it was 1979.
