Man In The High Castle’s ‘Resistance Radio’ Launched; Angry Trump Fans Think It’s Real
|
 |

Amazon recently launched Resistance Radio, a digital radio station created as a companion to their award-winning streaming television series The Man in the High Castle, which is based on the book by Philip K. Dick. High Castle‘s story is set in an alternate dystopian world where, after losing World War II, the United States is divided and occupied by two powers — Greater Nazi Reich and the Japanese Pacific States — and its oppressed people live in fear under totalitarian rule. From the country’s lawless neutral zone, a pirate radio station has emerged to keep the memory of the former America alive and to fight back against the current regime.
As io9 discovered, interestingly enough, soon after Resistance Radio was launched, some supporters of U.S. President Trump (the actual current president of the United States of America) took to social media to express their outrage at the new anti-fascism and anti-Nazi propaganda radio station. Not only did they believe that the station was real, but that it was somehow anti-Trump; therefore, they were offended by its existence and what they referred to as its “liberal agenda.”

How ‘The Lion King’ Ripped Off ‘The Matrix’ (Video)

A new video is making the rounds of a high school student making a PowerPoint presentation in which he argues that Disney ripped off The Matrix in making movies such as The Lion King.
You might already be thinking to yourself “That student is an idiot and most definitely failed their project.” And you would be absolutely right, of course, had it been a real student. The video really comes from an Emerson College comedy group called Chocolate Cake City, as I found out after having watched it thinking the whole time it was notable high school cool kid Clid Samby. The skit is actually presented by Pierce Campion.
You can check out the video below.

Not only is the Netflix original series Stranger Things a great new show you should definitely check out if you haven’t already, but it’s also perfect for mash-ups! No surprise given the overflowing ’80s nostalgia the show delivers.
A pair of mash-ups have arrived in the past month or so. The first brings the characters of Stranger Things into the animated world of Peanuts for a Charlie Brown Christmas mash-up. The second takes a song by Donald Glover’s Childish Gambino and sets it to that memorable Stranger Things theme. Both of these mash-ups can be enjoyed below.

‘Deadpool’ Star Ryan Reynolds Interviews ‘Wolverine’ Star Hugh Jackman (Video)
|
 |

Last month Hugh Jackman said his Wolverine character would beat Deadpool after Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool took a friendly jab at Wolverine, and many fans wished for the chance to see the two characters do battle on the big screen again. Especially now that Deadpool is a huge success, scoring over $150 million domestic and over $130 million foreign for a $284 million global opening on a $58 million budget. Not bad at all for an R-rated comic book movie. Oh yeah, and there’s those rumors that Wolverine 3 could be rated R now that it’s been proven that a more mature comic book movie can be successful with the right people involved.
Reynolds recently crashed an interview session Jackman was doing for his new movie Eddie the Eagle, and took the opportunity to ask some questions himself. This has very little to do with Deadpool or Wolverine, but it is very funny and will still likely make you want to see the two in a movie together again. The promos alone would be worth it. You can see the results in the video below.

Both Fallout 4 and Star Wars: Battlefront were released fairly recently, but what would happen if these two very different worlds collided?
A new video has been released that offers an example of what a showdown between the two games might look like. It’s a short video, but probably a pretty accurate representation of how a meeting between Fallout 4‘s lone survivor and a Battlefront stormtrooper would play out.
Click on over to the other side now to see the Fallout 4 vs Star Wars: Battlefront video, and share your thoughts on how you think the showdown would go down.
