The fourth season of Veronica Mars might find the show’s title super sleuth out of college and in FBI Academy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s not certain whether the CW Network will renew the cult favorite, which has been under threat of cancellation. Series creator Rob Thomas is filming a trailer for the network’s consideration with an alternative storyline that fast-forwards Mars from Hearst College freshman to FBI trainee.
As a freshman at Heart, Mars (Kristen Bell) has been taking criminology classes and looking into an internship at the FBI. If the series is picked up again and the network goes with the alternative pitch, it will be the third backdrop for the show, which began with Mars in high school.

DO NOT CANCEL VERONICA MARS!?!?!?!? I’m still mad that FOX canceled Arrested Development, I don’t need another great show getting cancel prematurely. Please CW, Do NOT cancel Veronica Mars.

Veronica Mars in FBI would be a stupid idea…Why? Because then she would be happy and a happy Veronica is not a good idea for a series.

Do we need another FBI show? No! We need Veronica Mars like she was in seasons one and two, not the glossy CW teen version on tv right now nor the FBI spinoff. The CW should just produce the show and sell it to a network that airs similar tv shows like FOX. Imgaine Tuesdays nights on FOX Veronica Mars and House. Pefect pair.
