Author Neil Gaiman posted on his blog a few updates on Stardust, the upcoming film adapation of the author’s book of the same name.
First up is the movie’s international poster, which can be viewed here at right (click for larger view). It includes many of the same images from the U.S. version, but repositioned and with golden tones instead of blues. Oh, and the international version has Sienna Miller added in.
Here’s something really cool: Stardust — a coming-of-age story about a young man on a journey to capture a fallen star — opens on August 10, 2007, which coincides with this year’s Perseids meteor shower. And according to NASA, the event is going to be spectacular, specifically on late evening on August 12. (Strangely enough, the movie studio did NOT purposedly plan the opening around this event, they just got lucky!)
Lastly, for those of you living in or around New York, from July 18 to August 1, customers will receive one pair of free tickets with any French Connection purchase of $125 or more at Bloomingdale’s Roosevelt Field and Walt Whitman locations, according to Newsday.
