Corey Haim will reprise his role as Sam Emerson in Warner Bros.’ Lost Boys sequel Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, according to STYD.
Haim had originally planned to be in the sequel, along with returning stars Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander, but because of border-crossing issues, Haim was forced to bow out of the Canadian production. Haim is scheduled begin soon on shooting his scenes, which were originally part of the Hans Rodionoff script (penned prior to the writer’s strike).
Feldman — who’s gearing up for the second season of his and Haim’s A&E reality/improv TV show, The Two Coreys — hinted at the news in his blog this week:
Speaking of secrets, it does appear we will be doing some additional photography for LB2 next week. All signs still positive on that front.
Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, directed by P.J. Pesce, is scheduled for release July 2008, though there’s still no official word whether the film will get a theatrical release or be direct-to-DVD.
Other Lost Boys 2 cast members include Tad Hilgenbrink, Autumn Reeser, Angus Sutherland, Tom Savini, Moneca Delain, and Gabrielle Rose.
…and all is right in the world again.
