The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a Star Trek-themed zombie-inspired shirt called “The Walking Red” by midgerock and Apalooza.

The sale began at Teefury today, Sunday, April 22, 2012, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The t-shirt is available in men’s and women’s sizes in black for $10 each.

Here’s what the artist had to say about the design:

Apalooza: This is a design I had rolling around in my head and was working on for a few days when I decided I did not like the way it was coming out. I got together with midgerock because I love, and I mean *LOVE* his zombie/undead style. We discussed it a bit went through a few iterations and POOF what you see here is the end result. Mashups are sort of “my thing” and I am huge Trek fan and love the Zombie Apocalypse mythos. I have had many debates about the proper use of Romero-esqe slow zombies and more modern fast zombies in media over a pint or two of Guinness.
