It feels good to be bad. She may have played the companion to the good Doctor, but Karen Gillan, who played Amy Pond on Doctor Who, will take a trip into the world of villainy as she has been cast to play a mysterious villainess in James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy.
Gillan will likely fight the Guardians alongside Lee Pace and Michael Rooker. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and Dave Bautista also star. The news comes hot off the heels of reports that John C. Reilly and Glenn Close were in talks to join the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy, which is quickly becoming one of the craziest films in terms of the cast it has assembled. The only remaining major roles left to cast are Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news of the casting, but any info on the villain she would be playing was not included in the report. So who do you think Gillan will be playing?
Marvel Studios will release Guardians of the Galaxy into theaters on August 1, 2014.
