When it was announced that Ben Affleck, who had stepped away from starring in massive Hollywood blockbusters to direct and sometimes star in his own Oscar-winning and Oscar-nominated films, had been chosen by Warner Brothers to replace Christian Bale as the next Batman, well, the internet…it sorta exploded.

Surprisingly, however, many fans stepped up and defended the casting of Affleck in the Batman vs. Superman sequel to Man of Steel, citing previous times people were infuriated by a superhero casting, like that one time Heath Ledger was cast as the new Joker.

One way to show how Affleck might look in the new Superman/Batman movie is through fan trailers, which use footage from previous flicks to create a faux movie trailer. You can see a couple of these below.

The first fan trailer shows a movie with Henry Cavill as Superman, Affleck at Batman, and Mark Strong as Lex Luthor, which would be pretty awesome. The second shows the same, only with Bryan Cranston as Luthor, which would also be awesome, is clearly the fan-favorite choice, and has been rumored.
