Forget about all of this “Deflate-Gate” nonsense, the real matter related to the upcoming Super Bowl match-up between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks is that it has created a feud two of Marvel’s big superheroes.
Captain America (played by Chris Evans from Boston, Massachusetts) represents the Patriots, while Star-Lord (played by Chris Pratt from Lake Stevens, Washington) represents the Seahawks. Each is making sure the other knows this through a nice exchange of trash talking, which has led to a friendly wager amongst superheroes for a good cause.
You can see their conversation below.
Captain America lit the fire:
Well, well, well @prattprattpratt, looks like our teams are going into battle. For the next 2 weeks, you are not my friend, you are my enemy
Either way, it looks like some kids are in for a good day after the dust settles from the Super Bowl.
Or, because this is all for a good cause, perhaps the two heroes should just shake hands after it’s all said and done and pay a visit to the kids at these two hospitals in costume together!
UPDATE: A result of this wager, there’s now a Captain America vs. Star-Lord charity T-Shirt available for only $11 through February 10, 2015.
