During E3 2013 a brief but exciting cinematic teaser trailer was unleashed, officially confirming that a brand new Star Wars: Battlefront video game was being developed. Last year during E3 2014, we saw a behind-the-scenes video that offered the teeny tiniest of peeks at what gameplay might look like.
This past October came word that the game would be released during the holiday season of 2015, meaning it was all but guaranteed we’d finally get a good look at it at E3 2015. But as it turns out, it will be even sooner than that. It’s been announced that Battlefront will actually make its debut next month at an even more fitting event: Star Wars Celebration.
You can read the full announcement from publisher EA below.

It seems like such a long time ago (at an E3 press conference far, far away) since we announced we were working on Star Warsâ„¢ Battlefrontâ„¢. Last year, we promised you would “See More in Spring 2015″. Spring is coming.
We’re thrilled to share that Star Wars Battlefront will be taking part in Star Warsâ„¢ Celebration next month in Anaheim, CA from April 16-19. We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it. For more information on Star Wars Celebration and ways to attend, please visit http://starwarscelebration.com.
We’ll have more information in the coming weeks. To stay on top of all of the latest Star Wars Battlefront news, follow our EA Star Wars social channels Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Google+, your official sources for information about all of the new Star Wars games from EA. We will see you at Star Wars Celebration!
Knowing this now, it’s safe to assume we’ll see much more at E3 2015 in an attempt to really boost excitement levels before the planned holiday season release…given, of course, that this first showing of the game at Star Wars Celebration goes as well as everyone is hoping it goes.
