You might remember that I reviewed a similar book last year, He-Man and She-Ra: A Complete Guide To The Classic Animated Adventures. It was extremely detailed but it was focused specifically only the cartoons. Whereas this one is all encompassing. Over four thousand entries spread across more than seven-hundred pages makes this a tome to be reckoned with and makes all others pale in comparison!

Broken into seven chapters, we are given access to information of which we could only have previously dreamed. Fully a third of the book deals with the characters, each individually referenced and catalogued. Then there are chapters that explore the beasts, creatures, and monsters of Eternia. Following that is a breakdown of the different organizations, factors, and races of the world. Another delves into the weapons and armor. Magic gets its own chapter, too! And the last two sections are reserved for the various locations and landscape as well as the vehicles that are used throughout this universe.

You’ll know if there is someone in your life who would appreciate it. Mine is my brother Michael, who was such the Masters of the Universe fan for years. I have neither the time nor the energy needed to deeply explore this book to convince you of the sheer magnitude of its creation. Suffice to say that any true fan will need this, not just want it. There are entries that I did not recognize but I have faith that my little brother will.

If there is a He-man or She-Ra fan in your life it would be a travesty if you failed to give them this for a birthday or celebration.
