A new trailer for The Outer Worlds, the latest from Fallout: New Vegas and South Park: The Stick of Truth developer Obsidian Entertainment, has been released for E3 2019. In addition to the trailer, we now have a release date to look forward to as well.
The game, which is published by Private Division, is a first-person RPG set hundreds of years in the future. In it, you play as a character who finds themselves at the edge of the galaxy and among multiple factions all seeking to gain power. You the player will decide how this character goes about their business, and your choices in developing this character will affect how the game’s story ultimately plays out.

WELCOME TO THE FUTURE
Try Not To Break It
The Outer Worlds is a new single-player first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division.
Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
The game is set to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. If you play on Xbox, you can pre-order a copy over at Amazon now.
If you play on Xbox Game Pass, you’re already set as the game will be released there as well. Which makes sense considering that Xbox acquired Obsidian this past November. Though this game is not part of that deal, hence why it is still being released on other platforms.
The Outer Worlds is set to be released this fall on October 25th.
