Directed by Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven), White Egypt stars Christian Bale as Charlton Heston and Joel Edgarton as Yul Brynner. An interpretation of the Book of Exodus, Scott’s Old Testament epic features historically accurate portrayals of Israelites and Egyptians who, as we all know, were white people.

The story begins in 1300 B.C.E, where Heston prepares to attack the Hittite army with Brynner. It is here that Brynner’s father, the great Pharaoh of Brooklyn (Seti I, played by John Turturro) tells the two men of a prophecy in which one will save the other’s life and become a great leader. During the battle, Heston saves Brynner’s life, leaving both men questioning their place in White Egypt.

Exodus: Gods and Kings Header Image

For his upcoming biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, director Ridley Scott chose to cast an 11-year-old boy to portray the voice of God.

In the movie, Moses (Christian Bale) meets the young boy named Malak (played by Isaac Andrews) in front of the burning bush. The boy then appears from time to time to guide and debate Moses, who eventually realizes that this boy is actually being used by God to speak to him. Fun fact: the word “malak” translates to “messenger” in the Hebrew bible.

Need For Speed Starring Aaron Paul and Kid Cudi

At first glance, Scott Waugh‘s (Act of Valor) Need For Speed might look like a terrible carbon copy of one of the installments of the Fast and Furious franchise. But upon closer look, that may not be the case.

Aaron Paul plays Tobey Marshall, a mechanic who participates in an underground racing event that results in one of his closest friends getting killed. After being released from his jail sentence, he rallies his old crew to get revenge on Dino (Dominic Cooper), the person who put him in jail and killed his best friend. But the only way to do that is by getting back behind the wheel of a souped up car and participating in a race that stretches across multiple state lines.

A new trailer for the movie has been released, and you can see it below.

Better Call Saul Cameos

News of a Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, broke before it was determined what could happen to Bob Odenkirk‘s character Saul Goodman. For the sake of spoilers I will leave out what happens to ABQ’s favorite lawyer, but just know that Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and showrunner Peter Gould will be back to work on the prequel spinoff.

The two have confirmed that the show’s setting will stay in New Mexico to maintain its Breaking Bad presence. Gilligan also confirmed that the show will geared more towards comedy, but that there will also be dramatic elements. According to them it would be about 75% comedy and 25% drama. Now in a new interview, Gilligan talks about what we would see in Better Call Saul, and if Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, or other stars of the show might show up in the spinoff.
