Release Date: December 25, 2017 Molly’s Game is terrific in every sense of the word. That is if you can keep up with Aaron Sorkin‘s rapid-fire dialogue. But even though it may seem like things are moving at a lightning-fast pace, Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba never miss a beat. Both take command of the screen with their superb performances and excellent chemistry, and with the film rich with Sorkin’s juicy and witty interchanges, there is never a dull moment. And even if everything is coming at the audience at a dizzying pace, it’s hard to deny that Sorkin’s directorial debut was long overdue. My full review below.

The first trailer for Molly’s Game, the directorial debut of Aaron Sorkin starring Jessica Chastain, has finally arrived. Based on the tell-all book of the same name, the film sees Chastain as Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who works her way to the top of underground poker game ladder before she is arrested by the FBI and prosecuted for her crimes. Steve Jobs isn’t your traditional biopic. It’s broken into three major events in Jobs’ life all taking place 30 minutes in real time before the product launches of LISA, the NeXT, and iMac. And what makes it all captivating is the fact that in those three 30-minute pre-launches, we get to see a man who is clearly the smartest person in the room reveal himself to be a vulnerable yet headstrong man with a clear vision of bringing technology to the masses while creating a legacy that only a few could ever dream of.

Universal has released a new trailer for the new Steve Jobs biopic Steve Jobs. Directed by Danny Boyle (27 Days Later, 127 Hours) using a script written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The Newsroom), the film stars Michael Fassbender as the titular iconic who helped pave the way for a technological revolution. It will focus on the three iconic product launches which Jobs helped create as well as the boardroom politics, his family, and the drive the inventor had to bring the people the kind of technology that would change the world. | Aaron Sorkin To Pen Lucille Ball Biopic Starring Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett is now attached to star in a Lucille Ball biopic that is being written by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, Moneyball). Of course with that kind of combination it is expected that the film is being geared towards a major awards campaign. The film will cover the 20-year marriage of Ball and Desi Arnaz, and presumably also their TV show I Love Lucy. It will be produced by their two children Lucy Arnaz Jr. and Desi Arnaz Jr. More on this story below.
