| Eli Roth’s ‘Cabin Fever’ Remake On The Way
Horror director Eli Roth‘s feature directorial debut, Cabin Fever, was released 14 years ago already. Which means, in current Hollywood, that it’s long overdue for a remake. Surprise! Yes indeed, Cabin Fever is being remade. And not only that, it’s doing so very quickly (and a bit strangely). Instead of doing the usual remake thing where an existing property is rewritten and reworked and recycled and all that jazz, a more familiar path is being traveled here. The remake already has its cast and begins filming this week, and it will be made using the exact same script Roth (who returns as an executive producer) and Randy Pearlstein wrote for the original through a new vision from director Travis Zariwny.

| Trailer For ‘The Green Inferno,’ Eli Roth’s First Movie Since ‘Hostel: Part II’
We’ve known about The Green Inferno for a while now, but most of what we’ve known was via pictures or through reports or festival reviews. Now comes the first trailer for the movie. The Green Inferno comes from Eli Roth, who returns to the director’s chair for the first time since his 2007 sequel Hostel: Part II. He’s spent the past handful of years appearing in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and writing, acting, and producing movies like Aftershock and The Man with the Iron Fists among others. You can check out the first trailer below.

The Hostel series created by Eli Roth continues with Hostel Part III, a slice that while lacking in certain departments and doesn’t have the punch of the first two chapters, has a few turns and gory scenes that will make it worth a glance for horror fans. The third Hostel movie is set in the United States, specifically Las Vegas, where the Elite Hunting organization has either relocated or established a new “franchise.” Despite the fact that the motives remain the same, allowing the elite to murder, maim, and torture those that "would not be missed", and a new twist adds the Vegas gambling element – allowing members to place bets on expressions of the torture as it happens before a live audience. Finding themselves mixed up in the turmoil are protagonist Scott (Brian Hallisay) and his buddies, who head to Vegas for his Bachelor Party, which turns into more than what they, and the Elite Hunting members, expect”¦

| Movie Review: Aftershock |

Aftershock
Directed by Nicolas Lopez
Starring Eli Roth, Andrea Osvart, Ariel Levy, Natasha Yarovenko, Nicolas Martinez, Lorenza Izzo, Selena Gomez
Rated R
Release date: May 10, 2013 (Limited & VOD) Eli Roth originally came on the Hollywood scene as a writer and director of retro style horror films. He crafted the films Cabin Fever and the surprisingly disturbing Hostel. Since those movies though he has produced others and has been acting quite a bit. In Aftershock, Roth is mostly just a figurehead behind the scenes on this one, as his main focus is being one of the lead actors. The film does feature a “presented by Eli Roth” topper, but that just again means figurehead. He is, however, listed as one of the writers along with three others. The writing credit makes me wonder if his influence is mostly in the odd humor that was added to the story. If so, he actually could be responsible for some of the main flaws in Aftershock.

| The First Image From Eli Roth’s ‘The Green Inferno’ Has Got Red On It |
 |

Despite not having directed a feature film since 2007’s Hostel Part II – which I actually loved a great deal more than the original – was released to mediocre reviews and box office in the midst of a crowded summer movie line-up, Eli Roth has never been bereft of projects as producer and screenwriter to keep him busy. He’s currently at work on his first directorial gig in five years titled The Green Inferno which he co-wrote with Guillermo Amoedo. The horror thriller is a modern day take on the ultra-violent cannibal gore fests vomited forth from the Italian film industry throughout the 70s and 80s, in particular Ruggero Deodato’s grimy 1980 classic Cannibal Holocaust (the title of Roth’s movie is an reference to a film-within-a-film in Holocaust). The movie’s production company Worldwide Entertainment has released the first still from The Green Inferno as well as the film’s plot synopsis. You can check them both out here below.
