Speedrunners Beat ‘Fallout 3’ In 15 Mins, ‘New Vegas’ In 20 Mins (Videos)

Fallout: New Vegas

The Fallout speedrunners competition is going strong. Recently a player who goes by Kungkobra beat Fallout: New Vegas in a record 21:02, which was then beaten a day later by player Swags_The_Dog with a 20:54 run. Another day later Kungkobra reclaimed the record with a 20:47 run, which is currently the record. Though that could change at any time the way things are going.

Back in July of 2014 we saw someone beat Fallout 3 in a little under 24 minutes, which was then pretty quickly beaten by someone who pulled off a run in a little over 23 minutes. While this post was originally just to share the crazy New Vegas run, I discovered that these Fallout 3 runs don’t even get you in the top 25 anymore. In fact, a player called Petite_Miku just broke the record for that game again a couple of days ago with a ridiculous 15-minute run.

You can check out the speedrunners’ record-breaking videos for Fallout 3 and New Vegas below.

Fallout Anthology Collection

If you’re a big fan of the Fallout video game franchise, chances are you already own one or two or all of the games that have been released so far. But even if that is the case, it is still very likely that you’re going to want to own the new Fallout Anthology collection from Bethesda Softworks, which is now available in the North America and will be available throughout Europe beginning tomorrow, October 2nd.

The collection includes every game that’s been released thus far in the series—Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas—as well as all of the bonus content that was released for the latter two titles. And if that’s not enough to tempt you, this all comes in an insanely awesome collectible mini-nuke container that comes complete with an audible bomb sound and a little extra space for you to add Fallout 4 when that juggernaut hits store shelves on November 10th.

Fallout 4

Fans have been expecting it for a long, long time now. And today Bethesda Softworks has released the first official trailer confirming the existence of Fallout 4. Many thought that the game would be unveiled in a couple of weeks at Bethesda’s big first presentation at E3 2015, but yesterday a countdown clock was activated counting down to this morning and those anticipating the game knew that it was time.

Unlike most first trailers for Bethesda games, which are usually only a cinematic to make the game official, this first trailer offers plenty of in-game glimpses of the open world post apocalyptic adventure title.

Without further delay, do be sure to venture down below into the vault (where it’s safe, I swear) to watch the first trailer for Fallout 4.

7 Bethesda Video Game Soundtracks Now Available On iTunes

Skyrim Giant & Mammoths Image

The open-world RPG video games made by Bethesda Softworks are some of the very best gaming experiences you’ll ever have. Countless hours will disappear as you wander these wonderful and stunningly large virtual worlds…sometimes without even actually accomplishing any of the game’s objectives.

One of the many great elements of Bethesda’s games is their excellent musical scores. It’s not easy to come up with music so good that you can hear it over and over and over as you play one of these games for hundreds of hours and never get sick of it, but they’ve accomplished just that multiple times in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises.

If you’re anything like myself (perhaps putting us on another level of geekdom), you’ve often wished you could apply these same musical scores to your own life, effectively creating your own (decidedly more boring) RPG. Now, thanks to the release of a collection of Bethesda game soundtracks on iTunes, we can do just that!

Continue below for a full list of the soundtracks released complete with links, who composed the score, and how much it will cost you.
