The soundtrack for Twilight: New Moon hits stores on October 20 featuring artists such as Muse, Death Cab For Cutie, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, The Killers.

The video for Death Cab for Cutie‘s “Meet Me on the Equinox” has been released and it contains exclusive footage from New Moon. Watch the video, which shows the band performing cut with scenes from the upcoming film, here below.

Vanity Fair recently interviewed a few of the lesser-known bands on the soundtrack [well, lesser known to me at least] — Sea Wolf, OK Go, Bon Iver, and St. Vincent — asking each performer if they knew during which scene their song would appear, along with other questions about their career and their thoughts on Twilight.

Some of the musicians did know where their songs would appear; one in particular — Sea Wolf’s “The Violet Hour” — will be during a house-party scene. (We can guess which house party this is, right?)

Summit Entertainment, the movie studio behind the Twilight film franchise, has sealed a cross-promotional deal with online virtual playground Habbo for the upcoming film Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Starting this November, as New Moon‘s theatrical release approaches, Habbo will debut a New Moon-themed virtual space within its 31 virtual worlds around the globe, where users will be able to decorate their virtual rooms with items from the new movie.

According to the LA Times, some of the virtual items available for sale will be a water fountain, a clock tower, the Volturi Crest, and Jacob’s barn door.

Five new portrait shots have been released of the Volturi vampires from The Twilight Saga: New Moon, along with three new production stills from the upcoming film.

The portraits are of coven leader Caius (Sweeney Todd‘s Jamie Campbell-Bower ), Jane (Dakota Fanning), Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl), Alec (Cameron Bright), and Aro (Underworld‘s Michael Sheen). The three new production stills feature one of Jane, one with Cullan clan member Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene) with another Volturi vamp Demetri (Charlie Bewley), and one with three Volturi together.

The Volturi coven, based in Italy, is supposed to be the most powerful of vampires in the Twilight universe and they’re seen for the first time in New Moon.

Last week, the French version of the new trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon was leaked online, and though it was quickly yanked, the description of the footage was posted all over the internet (read The Twilight Saga: New Moon Trailer In Theaters…”).

Now, Summit Entertainment has officially released this trailer, titled “Meet Jacob Black,” which is actually more of a preview with interview clips with the film’s young star Taylor Lautner interspersed.

As previously reported, this new footage is the first to reveal Dakota Fanning as Volturi vampire Jane, as well as the shirtless Wolf Pack.

A new teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon will debut in theaters this Friday in front of screenings of Bandslam, the new movie from Summit Entertainment starring High School Musical‘s Vanessa Anne Hudgens.

Earlier today, the French version of what could possibly be the upcoming trailer was leaked online today, but was quickly yanked for copyright infringement. But, Hollywood Crush has the translation of the footage, which includes voiceover narration from star Taylor Lautner.

The yanked trailer also includes the first footage of Dakota Fanning as Volturi vampire Jane, as well as the shirtless Wolf Pack.
