Air Date: Monday, February 20th, 2017, 10pm Warning! Spoilers below for the 5th season premiere of Bates Motel! When we last left Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) on Bates Motel, he had killed his mother Norma (Vera Farmiga), and threw away his meds to be reunited with her. He also dug up her body and put it in the basement. He almost pulled the trigger and ended it all, when the full psychosis kicked in complete with music, as Norma returned to live in the fantasy that they are happy together, forever. He did not tell Dylan (Max Thieriot) she was dead. Alex (Nestor Carbonell) freaked out in grief, knowing Norman did it, and was hauled off to jail for perjury, not the punch he gave Norman. Spoilers below.

Air Date: Monday, May 16th, 2016, 9pm Last week on Bates Motel, Rebecca tried to get Romero (Nestor Carbonell) to confess while wearing a wire, but he caught on. Dylan and Emma (Max Thieriot and Olivia Cooke) were leaving, and Dylan tried one more time to get Norma (Vera Farmiga) to listen about Norman’s instability, at Romero’s urging. She refused to listen, and broke up with Alex for trying to get between her and her son. Norman (Freddie Highmore) found Emma’s mom’s suitcase and realized that they could not live in this world any longer. He lit the furnace and closed all the vents except for the room in which they were sleeping. Romero finds them and starts CPR on Norma, shredded by grief. Beware! Spoilers from tonight’s Bates Motel are below.

Bates Motel
Season 4 Episode 1: “A Danger to Himself and Others”
Directed by Tucker Gates
Written by Kerry Ehrin, Carlton Cuse
Starring Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot, Nestor Carbonell, Olivia Cooke
A&E
Air Date: Monday, March 7th, 2016, 9pm When we last left Bates Motel way back in 2015, Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) finally went completely off the reservation. Throughout the season, we had seen him spiral further and further, taking on his Norma (Vera Farmiga) persona publicly, and hallucinating almost every episode. His mother (the real one – not the hallucination) finally decided to check him into a posh hospital, but it was too expensive. Norman got wind of this and ran away with Bradley Martin, who obviously came back so Norman as Norma could kill her. Dylan’s dad Caleb (Kenny Johnson) left town without saying goodbye to him., just leaving his guitar. Emma (Olivia Cooke) was finally up for a lung transplant, but ran away, until Dylan (Max Thieriot) brought her back with kisses (it would work for me). Romero (Nestor Carbonell) warned Bob that the DEA were on their way, only so he could shoot Bob himself. Warning! Spoilers below!

Bates Motel
Season 3 Episode 10: “Unconscious”
Directed by Tucker Gates
Written by Kerry Ehrin, Carlton Cuse
Starring Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot, Nestor Carbonell, Olivia Cooke, Kenny Johnson
A&E
Air Date: Monday, May 11th, 2015, 9pm It’s Bates Motel finale time! But first a little recap of last week’s episode. Caleb (Kenny Johnson) is the hero of the episode, beating Chick (Ryan Hurst) for the money, and coming though for his son and for Emma (Oliva Cooke). Of course then he feels he has to get out of Dodge. He has a really tender goodbye scene with Norma (Vera Farmiga), but then doesn’t really say goodbye to Dylan (Max Thieriot). To be fair, Dylan should have known the non-goodbye was just that. Norma is flipping out. Everything she has tried to keep hidden has been bubbling to the surface. Romero (Nestor Carbonell) didn’t help when he turned over the drive to the feds. I mean, he did the right thing, but it didn’t help Norma any. Bradley Martin (Nicola Peltz) came back to town and Norman (Freddie Highmore) hid her in one of the rooms. She’s supposed to be dead. Don’t worry, Bradley. I’m sure you will be soon.

Bates Motel
Season 3 Episode 9: “Crazy”
Directed by Tucker Gates
Written by Steve Kornacki, Alyson Evans & Torrey Speer
Starring Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot, Nestor Carbonell, Olivia Cooke, Kenny Johnson
A&E
Air Date: Monday, May 4th, 2015, 9pm Last week on Bates Motel, the “pit” in question was a 23-ft deep monstrosity, that Norma (Vera Farmiga) thought meant Bob Paris (Kevin Rahm) was playing ball, but actually didn’t. In fact, he had his goons grab Norma’s little shrink/lover James (Joshua Leonard) to get the goods on her. And since she confessed all while on her bender, he had a lot to give up. Bob went straight to Romero (Nestor Carbonell) with this info. Needless to say, Romero is not pleased. Norman (Freddie Highmore) was really upset about what James said about him wanting his own mother. Come on, Norman! It cannot be that unbelievable to you. Caleb (Kenny Johnson) and Dylan (Max Thieriot) almost get killed gun running for Chick (Ryan Hurst). Caleb DID try to warn Dylan, but he couldn’t see past the money he needed to save Emma (Olivia Cooke).
