| Hulu Developing Series Based On Douglas Adams’ ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy’
It’s being reported that Hulu is developing an original series adaptation of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, author Douglas Adams‘ classic sci-fi work and the novels that followed it. The story follows an Englishman named Arthur Dent who finds himself going on adventures in space after aliens destroy Earth to make room for a galactic freeway. It actually began as a BBC radio comedy in 1978 before the first novel was published in 1979. It’s been adapted numerous times, including the 2005 movie starring Martin Freeman, Mos Def, Zooey Deschanel, Sam Rockwell, Bill Nighy, John Malkovich, Stephen Fry, and the late great Alan Rickman.

| Series Based On Joe Hill, Gabriel RodrÃguez’s ‘Locke & Key’ Finds New Home At Netflix
Last year it looked like a TV series adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel RodrÃguez‘s comic book series Locke & Key was finally going to happen, with Hulu ordering a pilot episode and Doctor Strange and Sinister director Scott Derrickson set to helm that episode. Derrickson eventually dropped out due to scheduling issues and IT and Mama director Andy Muschietti stepped in. For whatever reasons, Hulu made the surprising decision to pass on the series. The second time that a series based on the comic looked like it was happening and then didn’t. The other being on Fox years ago. But thankfully fans didn’t have to wait nearly as long this time for the show to find a new home. It’s been announced that Netflix has picked up the show. And they’re skipping that pesky pilot episode step and jumping straight to a full-series order.

| Amazon Greenlights ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ Season 2 Months Ahead Of Season 1 Arrival
The first season of the upcoming Amazon series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is still four months from release, but Amazon has confidently given the greenlight to a season two already. The move comes after a Super Bowl ad for the show led to a significant increase in Prime subscribers adding Jack Ryan, which stars A Quiet Place co-writer, director, and star John Krasinski in the title role, to their watchlists. | ‘Rampage’: Trailer For Dwayne Johnson’s Arcade Game Monster Movie Released
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for New Line Cinema’s Rampage, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton, P.J. Byrne, Jack Quaid, and Matt Gerald, and is directed by Brad Peyton. The movie is based on the classic arcade game of the same name, in which players took control of giant monsters and attempted to do as much damage to cities as possible. | NYCC 2017: ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ Panel With The Cast & Creators
The crowd was buzzing at the start of Amazon’s panel for their new scripted drama, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, as its lead star and executive producer John Krasinski — who plays the titular character — hit the stage. Along with moderator Terry Schwartz, Krasinski was accompanied by co-star Abbie Cornish, and executive producers Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland. Fans were treated to a couple of scenes from the show, the initial clip being the first seven minutes of the premiere episode.
