Release Date: September 6, 2019 Andy Muschietti‘s IT was one huge surprise as it wisely split Stephen King‘s epic novel of the same name into two parts, with the first being a pure coming of age film which saw a group of young kids spend their summer vacation fighting an evil which often takes the form of a clown named Pennywise. Though they are successful, Pennywise promised to come back 27 years later, and they, in turn, promised to unite as one to fight the clown when it returned. This only set the stage for IT Chapter Two, which not only completes their story but promised to be an epic battle between good and evil.

Shazam!
Director: David F. Sandberg
Writer: Henry Gayden
Cast: Asher Angel, Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Hounsou, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans
Distributor: Warner Bros.
Rated PG-13 | Minutes: 132
Release Date: April 5, 2019 The DCEU isn’t the dark and brooding cinematic superhero universe that you first knew when it was launched way back in 2013. Since then it has gone through a series of improvements that have helped build it to become a much better superhero cinematic universe. And now director David F. Sandberg‘s Shazam! starring Asher Angel and Zachary Levi as Billy Batson and the title character, will continue the momentum that was first started by Wonder Woman and then continued with Aquaman. See, Wonder Woman has this incredible message about female empowerment, while Aquaman surges by centering on a person accepting the life of coming from two different worlds. Each of these films had their own distinct voice while also being superhero films. As for Shazam!, audiences will see a coming of age superhero film that is not only a great origins story but speaks about the importance of foster families. My full review below.

| ‘It: Chapter 2’: Jessica Chastain Says Sequel Will Have Bloodiest Sequence In A Horror Film |
There’s nothing like good old-fashioned hype to build anticipation. Jessica Chastain says that It: Chapter 2 will have one of the bloodiest horror sequences in horror movie history. There’s no telling if this is true or not, but based on how horrifying and successful Andy Muschietti‘s It (or It: Chapter 1) was, we should take the actress at her world. Chastain, who appears in the upcoming sequel as an older Beverly Marsh, made the claim while on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. While I don’t take these nightly talk shows too seriously, they have been known to give us small nuggets worth of information; for instance, Ben Affleck confirming that he’s done with Batman. Sure, we’ve known that was coming, but still. And we’ve also seen trailers debut on these shows. So, there may be some truth to what Chastain said. Check out the video of her recent late night talk show appearance here below.

As The Sopranos celebrates its 20th anniversary, the cast of New Line’s prequel movie titled The Many Saints of Newark is coming together. Last week we found out that Jon Bernthal and Vera Farmiga were joining Alessandro Nivola on the cast. Now an actor has been chosen for a major role—the role of a young Tony Soprano, who was played on the original HBO series by the late James Gandolfini. It’s being reported that Michael Gandolfini, James Gandolfini’s son, has been chosen to play the character.
