Thanks to the power of social media, we now know that John Krasinski has officially started production for A Quiet Place 2. The highly anticipated sequel brings back Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe as the Abbott family. Krasinski also returns as director, with Polly Morgan joining as the cinematographer for the sequel. More on the report here below.

A sequel to A Quiet Place was given the greenlight almost the instant the first film came out in theaters. Paramount CEO Jim Gianopulos said about the announcement, “We’re thrilled to say that we’re already working on the sequel to A Quiet Place.”

While the sequel was confirmed, it wasn’t clear if original director and co-writer John Krasinski would return. But, it looks like he will be back in some capacity. He will write the script. More on the report below.

John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place was already predicted to be a hit with audiences even before it was going to be released. And now that the relatively low-budget film is one, it should come as no surprise that Paramount has already greenlit a sequel.

The first season of the upcoming Amazon series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is still four months from release, but Amazon has confidently given the greenlight to a season two already.

The move comes after a Super Bowl ad for the show led to a significant increase in Prime subscribers adding Jack Ryan, which stars A Quiet Place co-writer, director, and star John Krasinski in the title role, to their watchlists.
