The Walking Dead Episode 512 Remember - Carl

Episode 511, “The Distance,” was one of the slower installments of Season 5 of AMC’s The Walking Dead, with very little happening in the first half of the episode. The middle had some Walker action, but, once we get to the end, it seems that Rick and his group have finally come to their destination after a long, dangerous, and nearly deadly journey.

Now, AMC has released a sneak peek of the next episode, Episode 512 “The Distance,” as well as a teaser promo.

The Walking Dead Ep 5.10 Aaron

SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 511 “The Distance.”

AMC’s The Walking Dead Episode 511 “The Distance” aired last night and the first half of the episode was a snooze, as nothing much happened except Rick being suspicious of new guy Aaron. Finally, when Rick, Michonne, Glenn, and Aaron hit the road, it gets exciting.

The network has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which is the sequence when part of the group is driving at night in the car with Aaron and they get swarmed by walkers. AMC has also released two behind-the-scenes featurettes — one is a nearly 5-minute “Making of” featurette that centers on the aforementioned Walker swarm when the flare gun goes off, while the other is a 3 1/2-minute “Inside Look” at the episode which introduces us to Aaron, as well as touches upon Rick’s group’s mission to make it to Washington, DC.

The Walking Dead Episode 511 The Distance Rick (Andrew Lincoln)

Episode 510, “Them,” was one of the more bleak installments of Season 5 of AMC’s The Walking Dead where Rick and the small group of remaining survivors are more desperate than ever as they run low on energy and even lower on supplies on their long track on-foot north to Washington, D.C. Their hope is that something will be at our nation’s capital that will help them. They just need to stay alive to reach their destination.

At the end of Episode 510, a new character was introduced — Is he a good guy or a bad guy? Where did he come from? Why does he seem in better shape than Rick’s group? What are his intentions? AMC has released a sneak peek of the next episode, Episode 511 “The Distance,” in a teaser promo, as well as a clip where Rick interrogates the new guy.

The Walking Dead Episode 510 Them Rick (Andrew Lincoln)

SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 510 “Them.”

AMC’s The Walking Dead Episode 510 “Them” aired last night and saw Rick and his gang in a dire situation. As if fighting off Walkers wasn’t hard enough, on top of that they have no more home base and they have taken on the quest to travel hundreds of miles north to Washington, D.C. — on foot. With no food or water. Exposed to the elements. During what appears to be a drought, as they’re having a difficult time finding water. As they walk to what they hope will be salvation, you can see the survivors are zapped of energy, with some losing hope – can they make it?

AMC has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which involves a nighttime Walker attack during a storm. The network has also released two behind-the-scenes videos — one is a nearly 4-minute “Making of” featurette that centers on the first Walker attack on the road near the ravine, as well as the one later during the storm; the other is a 4 1/2-minute “Inside Look” at the episode which goes into detail on how the people in the group are at the end of their rope and don’t know if they can go on.

The Walking Dead Season 5.2 Episode 9 Danai Gurira as Michonne

SPOILERS for The Walking Dead Episode 509 “What Happened and What’s Going On.”

Last night saw return of AMC’s The Walking Dead with Episode 509 “What Happened and What’s Going On,” the mid-season premiere for Season 5. It’s been months since we as viewers got to see Rick and the gang after the horrible outcome of the hostage trade at the hospital. Now, while the new episode starts out slow, it picks up once some of the members of the group make it to the town where Noah’s family lived and there’s a lot of reminiscing about those lost — the good and the bad — and the choices that have been made so far.

AMC has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which centers on the pivotal moment with Tyresse. The network has also released two behind-the-scenes videos — one is a “Making of” featurette that delves into how the hallucination scene was done; the other is a 3-plus-minute “Inside Look” at the episode which goes into detail on what happened with Tyreese and why and what it means to the rest of the group.

You can watch all the videos here below.
