Bite Me by Christopher Moore, the sequel to You Suck and Bloodsucking Fiends, is a romantic comedy in a world where vampires exist. Trust me, I know, another vampire book in the barrage of vampire saturation in all of modern media. Just stick with me for a few minutes and then you can make your judgment.
Being that I have not read the other books in this series I came in with no prior knowledge of any of the characters or their history. Jody and Tommy, who Jody turned in to a vampire, are encased in bronze by their minion Abby and her boyfriend Stephen Foo. We also get to read about the two cops, Cavuto and Rivera, who basically got payed off to look the other way as the vampires leave town, but soon find out it wasn’t all of them that left and that Elijah left a surprise name Chet, who is a shaved cat that Elijah changed into an evil-minded vampire, behind. Abby and Foo have a lot of trouble headed their way.
