PETA is searching for the world’s hottest vegetarian celebrities in the animal rights organization’s sixth annual World’s Sexiest Vegetarian poll, with more than 200 entertainers eligible to be crowned this year’s veggie King and Queen. Geeks of Doom has weeded through PETA’s list…and chosen the top celeb vegetarians in the Geek World.

As Madison the mermaid in Splash, Hannah did not want to do the restaurant scene in which her character chows down on a lobster and its shell. Director Ron Howard finally convinced the vegetarian to do the scene by filling the shell with potatoes!
— While Ian McKellen usually keeps his personal life private, his vegetarianism is no secret (not that there’s anything wrong with that). McKellen’s got double geek cred, thanks to his portrayal as the wizard Gandolf in Lord of the Rings as well as the powerful mutant Magneto in X-Men.
