Here’s a look at three independent films coming this summer: No End In Sight, a documentary that takes a look at America’s occupation in Iraq; Manda Bala, a documentary on the corruption, power, kidnapping, and violence in Sao Paolo, Brazil; and Descent, a feature film starring Rosario Dawson as a college student who is assaulted and then vows vengeance on her attacker.
No End In Sight
From Magnolia Pictures comes the documentary No End In Sight: The American Occupation of Iraq, written, directed, and produced by Charles Ferguson. The film opens this weekend in select theaters.

Manda Bala (Send A Bullet)
From City Lights Pictures, newcomer Jason Kohn directs this 2007 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winning documentary, which tells the story of corruption, power, kidnapping, and violence in Sao Paolo, Brazil. The film is opens August 17, 2007, in New York City and is coming soon to other markets.
From City Lights Pictures, Descent stars Rosario Dawson as a promising college student who is assaulted and then vows vengeance on her attacker. The film opens on August 10, 2007 in New York City and Los Angeles.
