Spike TV just turned up the reality television dial about 50 clicks. Their new show Murder takes six real people, divides them into two teams, and tasks them to solve a ‘real’ murder case in 48 hours, CSI style.
Murder is hosted by Detective Tommy Le Noir, a 27-year Arlington, Texas, decorated law enforcement veteran who garnered his fair share of murder convictions. Each show starts with Le Noir escorting the two teams into an exact replica crime scene pulled from the files of a solved homicide case. These gruesomely recreated crime scenes come complete with the murder victim’s corpse, which looks like it came straight from Tom Savini’s closet. They’re given actual crime scene footage from the closed case, a list of potential suspects, an opportunity to analyze orginal suspect interrogation tapes, and then they get to sit in on a recreated autopsy with a real pathologist who reviews the findings of the original autopsy report with them.
This is a very in-your-face program, and at times I was really surprised by level of gore Spike seemed to be getting away with showing. I think it might be a turn-off to some people (yet, I’m thinking those people don’t even know what a SpikeTV is anyway), but as a long-time Ben Casey-cum-Quincy-cum-CSI fan I was able to appreciate it for what it was… evidence.
Check out the promo for the show as well as a tie-in Webgame here after the jump.

How does a person apply to be on the the reality tv show called Murder. I have eight years of law enforcement background. I am a Detention Officer and I also work part-time as a Meth Lab remediation specialist in Montana. I have the background and some training and would also benefit from actually working a crime scene.
Please feel free to call if I am picked at xxx-xxx-xxxx or email me

I have been a registered nurse for 12 years and believe that my experience in assessment, theory and judging human behavior and interaction would benefit me in this show.

@ Angela, Sharon, Erika and those who’ve emailed us.
I’m currently attempting to get application info from my contacts at Spike. I’ve forwarded your information, and will post a follow-up when I learn anything further.
Hi. As well as the rest of those who have posted I was wondering how you apply to be on the show..or if the application deadline has all ready passed. I would appreciate it if you could email me! Thanks!
I would like information on how to apply to the show. Currently I am a practicing paralegal with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a year from earning my MBA. Having long term goals of becoming a forensic tech, I would like the opportunity to test my capabilities to determine if I have what it takes to be successful in this career path I have chosen. Please email me the requirements/application for this process.
Just like everyone above, I would love to be on this show!! I am a nuclear security officer with a BS in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. I have over 15 years experience in security and loss prevention. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
I would like the experience of being on the show…my fiance is a criminal justice major and I, myself, have taken some classes pertaining to criminal law. In addition I am often drawn to shows such as, forensic files, and CSI, I even considered a possible career in the field at one time, so I would like to have the opportunity to go behind the “mask” of a detective and see how it really feels to have to solve a baffling crime, as the others have responded, you can contact me @ my email address
Comment by Myoshi L — September 6, 2007 @ 12:25 am
Firstly I just want to say I love the show…I am a criminal justice major, currently studying to get my B.S…my targeted field is law enforcement but from watching the show, I do feel if I had an opportunity to experience, what a potential crime scene feels like, it may help me when I actually become a police officer and may encounter a gruesomeg crime scene. I have a great appreciation for the real-life crime scene investigators as well as the detectives that help to solve the crime. My fiance has also applied, we both watch the show, hopefully we’d both be great contenders

I know you are probably tired of hearing this but I am also interested in being on the show. I would love to know how to go about applying for the show. I am currently taking classes to get my Criminal Justice Degree and have always wanted to do just what they do on the show. I think if I could be on the show and experience the scenes and what not it could prepare me more for what I would like to do. Thanks!!!
I AM A CSI FREAK… I HAVE ALL SEASONS FROM ALL 3 CSI’S (VEGAS, MIAMI & NY) PUT ME TO THE TEST.

I would love information on how to apply to be a part of this show. I have not missed an episode even with the new time change from 10pm to 12pm. I do not claim to have the interrogative background but I do have experience in loss prevention as well as criminal fraud investigation and auditing, so I know how to look at evidence and find what is need to put solid and air-tight cases together .

I would love to find out how to apply to become part of the show. i watch every episode……I’m addicted ! I dont not have any background in the criminal field. Im a student going to school to become a Autopsy Tech and a fulltime mom to twin boys. I believe that if I had a chance to be part of the show it would help me alot in understanding the things that happen besides wha im studying to do. I also believe knowing a bit more of behind the seend would help me perform my job better. I hope to be offered the challenge.
Absolutly love the show. I’ve always wanted to be a detective and be the voice for all those victims. Unfortunatly I could never pass the vision test. So instead of putting the criminal away I work for an agency that keeps them there. I am very interested on being a contestant. How do I sign up?
Me and my Husband watch CSI all the time, and we love your show. We would like to be on the show. How about a couple show? that’s something new. Please this is our dream to to crack a real murder case.
Comment by Nichelle — September 16, 2007 @ 3:25 pm
I can’t wait for you to get the application on line. I am hooked to the show and think I could do a better job then some of those contestants/crime investigators. I am interested in being on the show. I need to prove to myself and family that I can do it. Thanks for your time.
I would love any information on how to apply for this show. I watch every episode, including the reruns I have already seen before. I have a great eye for detail and every time I watch the show I pick up all these things that are so often overlooked but extremely relevent. I would kill to be on this show! (not literally, of course!) Please let me know how to apply. I know I would make a great contestant and an even better detective! thank you.

Hello!
“Murder†on Spike TV.
I think my wife would be great at this – She is a dental hygienist and has an eye for detail. Not to mention she’s nice to look at and is very intelligent!! She would be great on the show and probably help with some ratings (if you needed help). Is there an application available for the show? Can’t seem to find one anywhere on the web.
I’m sitting here watching Spike TV’s Murder and getting upset. Haven’t any of these people see even one episode of CSI? Like a bull in a china shop!!!! How do I get on this show. I haven’t seen the show, but it sounds interesting and challenging. I have two years of law enforcement experience, two years in the military and over eighteen years of security experience. I’m currently working on my second year of the Criminal Investigations Associates Degree from Florida Metropolitan University on-line. When the information becomes available, I would like to apply to be a participant in the show. Thank you.

He set up a crime scene and myself, along with two other classmates, had to go in and photograph the scene, victim and any evidence. Then draw out a crime scene sketch and collect any evidence. It was a great experience but I would also like to try a real type crime scene like what was on the show Murder. Please let me know of any information you may have! Thanks :)
