Yahoo! Movies has posted the second theatrical trailer for Disney’s upcoming action flick National Treasure: Book of Secrets, which hits theaters on December 21, 2007.
I’m really looking forward to this one and I think it was real cool that when this trailer hit the net, I was in Washington, DC, watching it. The trailer shows scenes from DC like the Lincoln Memorial and other landmarks, which I had just visited earlier that day.
Trailers don’t normally spoil a movie for me, but sometimes I think a bit much is given away. I feel like between the first full-length trailer and now this, a lot is revealed. Though, I could be wrong and this could just be the tip of the iceberg, but it seems like a lot of the story is being explained to us in the trailer. Yes, obviously, we still have to see all that adventure and of course, they’ll be twists everywhere, but still, the premise is fully loaded here.
In this sequel to 2004’s action adventure National Treasure, Nicholas Cage returns as treasure hunter Ben Gates. A missing page from the diary of John Wilkes Booth is discovered which implicates Ben’s great-great grandfather as a conspirator behind the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. This leads Ben on a quest across the globe to prove his ancestor’s innocence, which turns up a trail to the world’s most treasured secrets.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets also stars Jon Voight, Harvey Keitel, Helen Mirren, Ed Harris, and Diane Kruger.
