The Dark Knight‘s Harvey Dent viral marketing campaign is back in action.
The film’s viral Web site www.ibelieveinharveydent.com has been updated to include a new message and an email sign-up area for citizens to “join the fight for Gotham.”
A message before the sign-up box reads, “We have the power to change Gotham City. Soon you’ll find out how. Sign up here to join the fight for Gotham.”
After you submit your email address, you’ll get an email from “Gotham United Against Crime” with the subject line, “TAKE BACK GOTHAM CITY.”

Citizens of Gotham! The future of our city rests in your hands! Alone, we are helpless against the thugs and killers menacing our city. Together, we have the power to take back Gotham. In just a few days, you’ll find out how.Keep an eye on www.ibelieveinharveydent.com — and get ready to join a movement that will transform our city!
The Dark Knight hits theaters July 18, 2008.

I wonder if the next marketing move will be to graffiti Harvey Dent’s face with Joker regalia. Because that would be most original, and totally unlike the premature marketing campaign that launched with this same picture during shooting.
