Neil Marshall — the man who wrote and directed the hugely popular claustro-horror film, The Descent and the very soon-to-be-released Doomsday — is already working on his next project for Rogue Pictures. This must mean that studios have much faith in his abilities and are confident in his drawing power.
The film, titled Sacrilege, will be a — wrap your head around this one — seclusive Western period piece horror. How nuts does that sound? It takes place during the Gold Rush time period and that it will be pretty intense, but that is about all so far.
I absolutely love the Western genre and anything in or around it so this is so appealing and intriguing to me, it kills me to know it’s at least 2-3 years (assuming, of course) away.
Stay tuned for news as this new little baby un-hatches.

Dog Soliders and the Descent were both brilliant in completely different ways. I’m expecting Doomsday to be the same. And I am VERY interested in seeing this goldrush horror flick shape up.
