Almost immediately after it was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year that the sequel to Man of Steel would feature Batman, it was unofficially dubbed Batman vs Superman based on some key dialogue read from the graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns which featured Batman and Superman in an epic battle. The film has yet to receive an official title from Warner Bros; however, a recent slate of website domain registrations by Warner Bros may point to a possible official title.
Check out the full list of possibilities after the jump!
Of the domains registered, some of the possible titles for the film could include:
Man of Steel: Battle the Knight
Man of Steel: Beyond Darkness
Man of Steel: Black of Knight
Man of Steel: The Blackest Hour
Man of Steel: Darkness Falls
Man of Steel: The Darkness Within
Man of Steel: Knight Falls
Man of Steel: Shadow of the Night
Or depending on how much screen time each of the superheroes gets, we could see the Man of Steel title dropped entirely or possibly get a new and unknown supertitle.
Some of the domains that have been registered by the company MarkMonitor, who Warner Bros has used to register their official domain warnerbros.com, include:

Personally, Shadow of the Night has the best ring to it, as it is the one title that doesn’t use a “knight” pun (which also helps to separate it from Christopher Nolan’s bat film titles) and is also closest to one of the official Batman comic titles, Shadow of the Bat. Additionally, Knight Falls is too close to the 1990s Batman comic arc Knightfall, which was used for source material for the final Nolan film, The Dark Knight Rises, and could muddle the separation between that universe and the one being created.
With filming of the Man Of Steel gearing up for this Winter, and a release date currently slated for July 17, 2015, hopefully we’ll be getting an official title in the very near future!
How about WORLD’S FINEST? No Man of Steel, just WORLD’S FINEST. Or possibly Batman/Superman: WORLD’S FINEST

But they aren’t the World’s Finest. At least Superman wasn’t… <_<
