Star Wars: The Force Awakens retro style image

The teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has spawned lots of controversy and analysis, as well as parody versions created by fans like the George Lucas Special Edition and the Spaceballs version.

There’s likely more where that came from, including one fan-edit that’s a retro-style version of the trailer that pays homage to how the original Star Wars trilogy trailers were done. (Most of you younglings probably don’t know that trailers back in the day weren’t as flashy as they are now.)

Watch the retro version of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer.

  1. Close to perfect, but you’ve got to have the Star Wars logo explode at the end to really bring it on home.
