Warner Brothers has released a new video in which various Harry Potter cast members and fans of the movie franchise were shown a very special behind the scenes peek at the upcoming prequel spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and share their reactions to the preview. Hopefully the Fine Brothers won’t attempt to sue Warner Bros. (and us by extension) for this one.
You can check out the video below.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them takes place 70 years before the events of the Potter movies. It stars Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander, author of the textbook of the same name that’s one day studies by students like Harry Potter, who is in New York when some of the magical creatures that he has in his briefcase find a way to escape. The rest of the cast includes Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Colin Farrell, Faith Wood-Blagrove, Jenn Murray, Elizabeth Moynihan, Christine Marzano, Denis Khoroshko, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Carmen Ejogo, and Ron Perlman.
The movie is directed by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 director David Yates, with the screenplay written by the person most familiar with the Harry Potter universe, the author behind the books herself, J.K. Rowling. Rowling makes her screenwriting debut on the movie.
