Star Wars Original Trilogy DVD Art
space
Empress Eve   |  @   |

Starwars.com has a first look at the cover art for the upcoming limited-edition original Star Wars trilogy DVDs, to be released September 12.

The new cover art is reminiscent of the poster design from the original theatrical campaign and was done in the photo-montage style of the 2004 special editions DVD release.

As previously reported by The Geeks of Doom, Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release individual two-disc sets of the original unaltered Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), and Return of the Jedi (1983), along with their respective 2004 digitally remastered versions (which differ slightly from the 1997 theatrical Special Editions).

This release will only be available for a limited time, from September 12 to December 31, 2006. Pre-orders will be available starting this week at starwarsshop.com.
