- As previously reported by The G.o.D. the epic movie ERAGON, based on the best-selling novel by Christopher Paolini and starring Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich, will be in theaters December 12. At right is the new one-sheet movie poster (click image for large view).
- Brandon Routh not gay? Seem so. The new Superman has gotten engaged to his girlfriend, actress Courtney Ford. The newlyweds-to-be co-star in an upcoming short film called DENIAL.
- In the latest Harry Potter movie casting news, British actress Jessica Stevenson (SHAUN OF THE DEAD) will play the witch Mafalda Hopkirk in HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, according to fan site HarryPotterFanzone.com. PHOENIX is scheduled for release in theaters on July 13, 2007.
- Brendan Fraser has been cast in INKHEART, the movie adaptation of Cornelia Funke‘s best-selling children’s novel. THE MUMMY star will play a bookbinder who has the power to bring to life characters from books by reading aloud. [Link]
- Marvel Comics announced this week that issues 4 and 5 of the highly successful CIVIL WAR limited series, as well as several pertinent tie-in titles, are being delayed to allow the artistic team more time to complete their work. Click here for the new shipping dates. Also, starting in November some titles affected by the events of Civil War will be labeled Casualties of War.
- The WATCHMEN‘s pirate narrative finally becomes a full story. Fan Steven Johnson took the original narrative “Tales of the Black Freighter: Marooned” — which appears in the acclaimed Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons graphic novel as a comic within a comic — and created a complete and uninterrupted webcomic from it.
