WW Hulk Checklist by Month

Hulk’s about to smash like never before when he returns to Earth with a vengeance next month, kicking off Marvel’s ‘World War Hulk’ event.

Hulk angry. Hulk very angry. HULK SMASH!

If you thought you’d seen him pissed before, just wait until The Hulk returns from his off-world “trip” next month. He’s about to open up a can o’ whoop-ass on his former friends in the Illuminati — Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Bolt, and Mr. Fantastic — as well as a few other Marvel heroes.

Last summer, the geniuses of the Illuminati decided that The Hulk was just too dangerous to remain on Earth, so they took it upon themselves to launch the jade giant into space, sparking the Planet Hulk event.

Since then, The Hulk managed to overcome adversity and even build a new life for himself on another planet, but the plans of the Illuminati once again interferred — and this time they’ve gone too far. Now, the Hulk is out for vengeance!

This month’s WWH Prologue: World Breaker and The Incredible Hulk #106 set the stage for the World War Hulk event, which will run through this October with special issues and Marvel crossovers and tie-ins.

See the WWH Checklist at right and, after the jump, view the WWH countdown clock and five new Hulk SMASH banners.

Check out the Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk Prelude and coming June 27, the Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk hardcover, which includes Incredible Hulk #92-105, Giant Size Hulk #1 and the “Mastermind Excello” story from Amazing Fantasy #15.

  1. Hmm, I wonder if they purposely left out Namor?

  2. well the illuminati kind of disbanded namor in their group during the civil war. besides, you think the hulk is going to go swim all the way down to atlantis when he has so many more heads he can bash above ground.

  3. Namor was in the Illuminati, but when they discussed The Hulk situation, he got pissed and didn’t go along with them. He said something to them about how the Hulk will return one day and kill them all and he’ll be right to do it. Since it seems like the Marvel characters will once again take sides in this World War Hulk event, maybe Namor will be involved but ON the side of The Hulk. We’ll see.
