While no official images have been released online for the upcoming Robert Zemeckis-directed Beowulf, some promo posters were displayed at Amsterdam’s Cinema Expo last week.
View more pics from the Expo HERE.
The performance-capture film has a script by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary based on the Old English poem and stars Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, Robin Wright Penn, Brendan Gleeson, Crispin Glover, Alison Lohman, and Angelina Jolie.
Beowulf will be release in IMAX and conventional theaters on November 16, 2007.
There are 2 shots of the Grendel poster. In one of them the tag line is “Evil breeds pain” but the other says “Pain breeds evil.” So which is it? Inquiring minds want to know!

Isn’t this the movie that was already released up here in Canada a while ago? Or is this totaly different then Beowulf & Grendel. Sequel perhaps?

@Rhino
It’s a completely different movie. This one is adapted by Neil Gaiman & Roger Avary, Directed by Robert Zemeckis, and it’s going to be an animated motion-capture, star-studded affair.
