When it was reported that we would indeed finally get a new installment in the Indiana Jones series, people celebrated. We also heard rumors that it may not just be one new movie; that there may be one or two new ones with Harrison Ford and then the franchise might continue with newcomer Shia LaBeouf taking over. None of this was ever confirmed, but it was discussed for sure.
Now comes new word via an interview with USA Today that Mr. Ford wouldn’t rule out a fifth installment of the franchise, so long as it didn’t take another two decades to get done. This certainly brings a small amount of validity to the rumors we first heard and it will definitely be interesting to see it play out!
I was skeptical of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull because of age, just like every one else was; but since seeing it play out and getting the goosebumps that I get ever time I watch that trailer — I just don’t care anymore. That man can play Indy in a wheelchair and I’d see it. Better yet, I’d be more than thrilled with the rumor to have him do a couple and then have Labeouf take over. We need another James Bond-type series with a ton of movies and maybe this could be it!
I’ll take wacky archaeological adventure shenanigans over well-dressed British dudes with impressive gadgets any single day.
Keep in mind here, none of this holds any confirmed truth. I’m simply reporting exciting speculations! What fun would it be being a movie fan if we could hope and dream of things that might not happen, right?
What’s everyone think about these “talkings”?
Bring it on! Indy is the man.
I’d watch it, and we’ve already seen that everyone would too.. after all wasn’t there the young indy series?
