Free Comic Book Day 2008 is here!
On May 3, 2008 at participating comic book stores around the world, a select group of single-issue comic books will be available to the public for FREE.
This annual event is a great opportunity to sample some of those harder-to-find titles by up-and-coming indie creators. So, while your eye might go right to the Hellboy and Superman books, why not help out the little guy by trying something really new?
And don’t forget to pick up the Geeks of Doom FCBD spotlight pick Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits, as well as some of other fun titles like Atomic Robo & Friends, Salem: Queen of Thorns, and Ape Entertainment’s Cartoon-Apalooza #1.
To find a participating comic book shop, go to the FCBD Store Locator and plug in your zip code. Note, participating comic book shop will not necessarily be carrying ALL the titles. The specific books being offered will have the FCBD logo on the cover and will most likely be housed in a designated area of the store. As always, there is a limited number of free titles available per person, determined by the individual shop owners.
