IGN has debuted the first official trailer for Chris Carter‘s The X-Files: I Want To Believe, which you can watch here below.
Also, two very short viral videos (about 10-11 seconds each) are now online, which can also be viewed here below. In the videos, Mulder and Scully briefly talk about missing each other.
In the upcoming film sequel David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and and Dana Scully, respectively, in a stand-alone story that takes place six years after television series ended.
Much of the story details are still unknown, except that it will not be an alien mythology-type story that was popular on the television series. Instead, it will be an earthbound tale, which will include Mulder struggling with his faith. This new trailer, which is about 1:10 minutes of actual film footage, doesn’t reveal much of the plot either. It’s similar to the footage that was leaked earlier this year.
At 12 PM EST (9 AM PST) today, IGN will be posting a slew of X-Files-related content on their site.
The X-Files: I Want To Believe hits theaters July 25, 2008.

Gotta say, it looks promising.
