Over the past year my friends have waged a very effective, dirty and long war on me, forcing me to watch The Office. A variety of reasons have been thrown at me, from its apparent humor, the cringe-worthy boss, and Jim and Pam (I’m a romantic at heart).

That doesn’t really relate to anything in this story, except to give me a nice segue in to the news that Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight Schrute in the hit U.S. comedy, will apparently be making a small cameo in Transformers 2.

During a Sneak Peek Week screening of his new film The Rocker, Wilson spoke to MTV News and announced that he would be playing a professor in the upcoming sequel to Michael Bay‘s first venture into the world of transforming robots.

“I play a college professor that turns in to a robot then turns in to a car,” Wilson joked laughingly. What his actual role will be, and the amount of technology installed into his body, no one knows as of yet.
