It is noted as being “the most celebrated graphic novel of all time” in the first trailer for Watchmen, and with 231 days left until it hits cinemas, you better believe that Warner Bros. has rebuilt all the hype for this, their latest attempt at a comic book movie.
Watch the teaser trailer here below!
When an ex-superhero is murdered, a vigilante named Rorschach begins an investigation into the murder, which begins to lead to a much more terrifying conclusion.
Thus reads the plot at IMDB. The collection has been sitting on my shelf for some time now, three-quarters read. I got a little bogged down in the added material, which is fantastic, but”¦ I should have read it at a separate point to the actual story.
The movie, directed by Zack Snyder, stars Jeffery Dean Morgan as Edward Blake, aka, The Comedian; Malin Akerman as Laurie Juspeczyk, aka, Silk Spectre II; Billy Crudup as Jon Osterman, aka, Dr. Manhattan; Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach; and Stephen McHattie as Hollis Mason, aka, Nite Owl.
The trailer is nothing short of breathtaking, and really (hopefully) gives you a feel for the way that the movie will be done. It’s surreal and at the same time realistic, and really beautiful.
Believe you me, Watchmen is coming back out to sit on my book table. Also, check out the official website, which has gone fully live and update with downloads, videos, and all the previously released images.
