It looks as if Dollhouse fans won’t have to wait too long after the show was canceled to see the team behind their favorite show getting back together for some more fun. According to star Eliza Dushku, she and writer/creator Joss Whedon will be re-teaming soon for a feature film.
Dushku was asked by Hollywood Life about her rumored part in Ghostbusters 3, which she denied as false (so far) a long time ago on her Twitter account, but is still listed on IMDB for some reason. The conversation then moved on to what was next for the actress, which lead to her reveal of another possible collaboration with Whedon.
I would say that we would [be working on something new very soon]! I think we’re going to work on a kickass feature together that we’ve been thinking about for a few years.
There are no details on what this project is or when we’ll learn more. Whedon is currently bringing a horror comedy to us entitled The Cabin in the Woods, and has his Comic Con documentary with Morgan Spurlock and another film called Goners on his to-do list. There is the chance that this project with Dushku could in-fact be Goners, but that is yet to be confirmed.
Along with her 27-episode stint on Dollhouse, Dushku has appeared recently in movies like The Alphabet Killer, Open Graves, and as the lead voice in the video game WET. Next up, she will be appearing in the film Locked In, as well as the animated film Noah’s Ark: The New Beginning, which has a ridiculous cast that includes Michael Keaton, Ben Kingsley, Jason Lee, Howie Mandel, Marcia Gay Harden, Elliot Gould, Rob Schneider, and Jason Mewes.
