Oooh, I just love it when we zombies get all multi-dimensional n’ shit!

In January of 2011, IDW Publishing is set to launch a multi-title crossover event named Infestation, in which several of their flagship titles will be invaded by none other than… you guessed it, Zombies!

The event kicks off in January 2011, with Infestation #1 from writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, which finds us in IDW’s own Zombies vs. Robots universe just prior to some insane multi-dimensional event that seeds the rest of IDW’s titles with zombies and ‘infected’ robots. The event continues throughout two bi-weeky issues from each from their ‘Blockbuster Hollywood’ line, which includes Star Trek, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Ghostbusters, and will conclude in April 2011 with Infestation #2.

The cover of the January Previews catalog will feature the special Infestation “quadrtych” image by artist Gabriel Rodriguez of Snake Eyes, Mr. Spock, Optimus Prime, and Dr. Peter Venkman under attack from a zombie!

To coincide with the event IDW will be issuing special embroidered sew-on patches featuring ‘infected’ versions of each title’s logo. Seems like a few of the more enterprising undead from my sewing circle have concocted a scheme to bust their way into the comic industry after all, eh.

INFESTATION #1 ($3.99, 40 pages, full color) will be available in stores on January 19, 2011.

TRANSFORMERS: INFESTATION #1 and #2 will be in stores on February 2 and 16, 2011, respectively.

STAR TREK: INFESTATION #1 and #2 will be in stores on February 9 and 23, 2011, respectively.

G.I. JOE: INFESTATION #1 and #2 will be in stores on March 2 and 16, 2011, respectively.

GHOSTBUSTERS: INFESTATION #1 and #2 will be in stores on March 9 and 23, 2011, respectively.

INFESTATION #2 will be available in stores on April 6, 2011.
