In case you weren’t aware, there’s a little movie being released at midnight tomorrow called Paranormal Activity 2, which unbeknownst to me is quite the anticipated flick — just check out the fans that were lined up tonight for a sneak peek showing outside the Loews 34th Street theater in New York City.
If you’re not already out seeing the film, which is the follow-up to 2009’s Paranormal Activity 2, then check out this new clip that premiered last night during Spike TV’s Scream 2010 Awards.
Video of the clip is embedded here below; also, if you haven’t seen the trailer, it’s here below as well.
Paranormal Activity 2 is actually a prequel story, as it takes place 3 months prior to the events of the first movie where Micah and Katie are haunted by a spirit in their house. In the new movie, Katie’s sister and her family move into a new home around the corner from Micah and Katie where they feel they are not alone (and apparently, they’re not, otherwise, there’d be no movie).
In all honesty, this new film just seems like more of the same, as you see Katie’s sister being dragged around by an invisible force just like what happened with Katie. But that’s fine, I mean, that’s not enough to deter me from seeing it. What’s keeping me from running about to see this film is the fact that now the invisible demon not only terrorizes the adults, but also the 3-month-old baby and the family dog. In the trailer, you can see the baby in his crib being pushed around and the dog barking. I love a good horror, but I just kind of don’t want to see bad things happen to babies and animals. Maybe I’m a bit too sensitive, maybe it’s nothing more than what we see in the trailer, but if there is more, than no thanks.
What say you? Do you want to see Paranormal Activity 2? Did you already go to one of the midnight sneak peek showings?
