There’s no doubt that Law & Order is one of the more popular TV franchises to ever be produced. Even so, the question remains: how can American audiences enjoy the British version of the show, Law & Order: UK, if they happen to have access to it?
A special and quite informative little video was created by Joe Sabia for BBC America to help our nation’s viewers learn the UK ways, enabling them to better enjoy the latest episodes of Law & Order: UK…which also stars Battlestar Galactica alum Jamie Bamber, by the way.
You can see this video and learn the ways and cultures of our brethren across the pond by hastily clicking on over to the other side now!
I saw an ad for this show a few weeks ago and I thought it was a joke, but nope! It’s a real show, it’s got a really good cast too, you’ll recognize some of them from Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica. I’m quite intrigued, I have to get my hands on this show, I really need to watch it.
One minor point: ‘knackers’ does not ‘= pants’. Here in England ‘knackers’ is, well, er, it’s what’s IN pants. Specifically a gentleman’s pants. Genitals. Knackers = genitals. This knowledge could prevent a rather embarrassing exchange between an English person and an American.
‘Your knackers look great!’
‘I’m calling the police.’
