Former California governor and veteran actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is making this comeback to the screen in the form of the cartoon superhero known as The Governator.
The semi-fictional character, whose name is based on Schwarzenegger’s nickname while in office, will be the star of an animated television show and comic book, which is being co-developed by none other than the one and only Stan Lee, comic book creator extraordinaire.
Regarding the cartoon, Schwarzenegger said, “It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the True Lies…”
Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive interview with the 63-year-old actor about the television series, which won’t be out until next year, and a first look at the cartoon — see the image here at top of EW’s cover. See EW’s story online, which has more details about the series, includes details about The Governator’s secret high-tech crime-fighting center located under his house and check out this week’s issue of the print magazine for more of their interview with Schwarzenegger.
Come on guys, April Fools. I saw this on another web site. This can’t be true.
