Today’s a great day if you like Liam Neeson or John McClane.
Dates have been set for the release of a cavalcade of hotly discussed projects today, and none are bigger than the upcoming fifth film in the Die Hard franchise, now titled A Good Day To Die Hard. The film, helmed by John Moore, will hit on February 14, 2013 and will find our lead in battle with Russian forces, along with his two sons. Got to have some young blood in there, I guess.
Other films dated today have been Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters (March 27, 2013), Of Men And Mavericks (a Curtis Hanson-helmed surfing pic; October 26, 2012), and I, Frankenstein (February 22, 2013). Taken 2 will also be released on October 5, 2012, making today one hell of a day for those who found their 2012 and 2013 film slates a bit too clear.
Personally, I’m most excited for the latter film, the sequel to a really entertaining little film, which in turn made Liam Neeson a household name. I think that there is a lot of room for something really great there, something that I can’t really say for any of the other films mentioned here. Die Hard isn’t really a film I’m all that intrigued by, particularly with Moore at the helm, so here’s to hoping that it can shock me. October 5, 2012 can’t get here fast enough, though.

Wow, that puts the 2nd Percy Jackson 3 years apart from the last – that’s a long time for a young cast, I wonder if they will keep same cast.
